Other things to note

During Winter Season, Resort Entry applies to every vehicle entering Mt Hotham Resort. Please refer to the Mt Hotham website for details and how to buy your pass online.

Snow chains for your vehicle must also be carried during the winter season. These can be hired off the mountain at various locations including HOYS in Harrietville (the A-frame building on the river next to the bridge). If you say you are staying at Kongoola, you may get a discount. They will show you how to fit these chains and when to do so and also have a person on the side of the road who can fit them for you at the 'fit chains here' sign.

Upon arrival, please:

* Remove all outdoor footwear in the foyer or drying room, before walking on the carpet.

* Sign the guest register located at the door into the foyer.

* Check the whiteboard in the foyer for your room allocation.

* Call the managers (phone numbers on the entrance window) if you have any questions or concerns.

Unfortunately, Kongoola cannot facilitate early check-ins! This is to ensure the consideration of existing guests, and room changeovers and to ensure a manager is available for your arrival.

What a wonderful ski lodge. We were lucky to find last-minute accommodation for the Queens Birthday long weekend at Kongoola. It had everything we needed as a base for a skiing weekend at Mount Hotham, perfectly located and with the most stunning views from the shared lounge/kitchen area. Clean, warm, and a very well appointed and large shared kitchen, plus a big drying room. The lodge managers Kaitlen and Matt were fantastic, welcoming us on arrival and so helpful and friendly. As a bonus, it was so convenient to be able to leave our luggage at the lodge after checking out to be able to enjoy a full day of skiing before heading back to Melbs. Thank you again for a great stay, hope to be back soon!

Good place to stay for a long time, near the bus stop, and can go skiing easily.

Such a cool lodge, a wonderful location, cozy and warm, and with a huge and well-organized kitchen. Such a welcoming place to come after a day skiing with lovely hosts. Great location near the village bus stops taking you straight to the slopes, yet tucked away for some privacy. Hot showers, heated towel racks. Spotless inside with beautiful views across the mountains. Highly recommend. Would love to return. Thanks!

"It was much cleaner than expected and we had a nice view. There were 4-5 different coffee pod machines available which would have been nice to know in advance so I could have brought some, but is a nice touch. The water pressure in our shower was awesome and the towel rails were heated. The bed was pretty comfy and there was storage and hanging space in the room. There’s also a small safe with a keypad in your room. The drying room was always packed with stuff. And the fridges were super full and disorganised. Each room did have a designated freezer drawer however. It’s a bit tricky to get here in deep snow if you have heaps of gear and are new to the alpine region, so be prepared to push the sled!"
